U.S. Infanterie, div. Hersteller

I was quite busy this weekend. I prime coated the two T 34 and the two Shermans from Armourfast, a Log House, 20 Figures (8´th Army from Esci) and a jeep from Hasegawa, painted the Cromwell and a Matador, started to paint another lot of 8´th army figures for a customer and nearly finished some U.S. Infanterie. The figures are from Esci, Revell and the Commander is from Atlantic. Another wash and a drybrush is still missing. Pictures of the rest will follow during this week.

Armourfast, T 34, 1:72

I finished my buisness trip to Berlin yesterday evening and when I returned back home I found two new kits. The first one is this T 34. After posting the best kit (in my opinion)from Armourfast I have so far (the Cromwell)now I have to say, the T 34 is the opposite. But look and make your own impression...

Cromwell, Armourfast, 1:72

The Armourfast Cromwell seems to be "en vogue" if you look at the blogs of Thanos and WIking. I´m catching the wave and show you my progress with this kit. The building is finished and a first layer of Tamiya Olive Drab 2 in sprayed. I painted the tracks and the road wheels. Now the "real" colour will follow.

Valentine, Esci, 1:72

Here some pictures of my Valentine. I tried to repair it because it was destroyed by falling of a table a few month ago. Now I painted it (except the Trck/Wheel section, this will follow tonight). All is fixed except a little gap in the backside.

U.S. Infanterie, Caesar, Valiant, 1:72

The first ones for my customer are nearly finished. A last drybrush and matt varnish. Voila. The Valiant figures couldn´t run away so they get some paint, too. The last picture is for a comparison.

Cromwell, Armourfast, 1:72

I´m short in time, text will follow this evening! But a brillant fast assembly kit!
O.K. Interesting that I can write this text after reading your comments. Thanks for that :-) I like this kit, easy to assemble, but one part isn`t mentioned in the plan, so I have to ask my friends in the Behind Omaha Foirum for help. But it isn`a snap kit but the parts have to be glued. In my opinion the best Armourfast Kit I have so far. I still have to decide to build it with open or closed hatches. Depends on the Figures I have in my stocks.

Pegasus, Caesar, 1:72

A view pictures of work in progress. The figures in the first line are from Pegasus "German Mortars" and in the second row from Caesar "German Army in Field Greatcoat". They are nearly finished, a light drybrush will follow and sealing with matt varnish. Of course the bases aren`t finished.

I´m quite busy in the moment because I was asked to paint several Figures, as you can see in the last picture. Caesar "U.S. Army" and Esci & Revell 8. Army. My customer also send me some germans, but they have to wait. So much to do, so little time. But I hope to build the first Cromwell tonight.

Armourfast, M 36 "Jackson", 1:72

Beside the Loghouses I recieved two Fast-Assembly Kits from Armourfast. The M 36 and the Cromwell. Today I will show you the M 36. I only stick it together, thats why it looks strange on the backside. After gluing it will be a nice vehicle. As you can see, the turret needs some equipment and a figure. The kit contains two different MG´s and two jerrycans.

Blockhaus, Pegasus, 1:72

On Saturday I got my ordered Loghouses from Pegasus. i couldn`t resist to start painting the first one. Not finished yet but a nice modell. I`ve got four of this and one with two floors. A nice little village. I also started builidng the Pak, but it is too soon for pictures.

Pak 35/36, ACE, 1:72

Yesterday was St. Martins day with a pageant in my village and the following "schnörzen" (The children went from house to house and sing songs about the holy St. Martin and got a few sweets for it)I was out with my sons the whole evening. Always a hightlight in autumn.
Because of that, nothing new can be presented. But I decided to try my first kit by using Photo etched parts. For a start, this Pak 35/36. The etched parts seem to be a little thick. I will take oictures of the progress. All of you a nice weekend!

Krupp Protze, Revell, 1:76

Today you will see this "Protze" from Revell in 1:76. It was the first (and until today the last) kit my son build when he was 5. I was impressed how he done it (with a little help). I started painting it for my first B.O. game, because I needed a truck urgently. Now it ist finished. It was difficult to paint the driver properly because it was glued in the cabin.

Pak 36, Italeri, 1:72, Stellung, 1:72

I cleaned up my storage room last weekend and I found this PaK 36 from the Italeri (Old Esci) Set „German Guns“. It was build but not painted. So I did it last night. I also found the fortified place I bought last year and forgot in my cellar. So I painted it, too. I used Revell Aqua Colors (Beige, Brown, Wooden Brown, Earth) and GW Ogryn flesh and Devlon Mud for the washes.

Jagdpanther, Revell, 1:76

Yesterday I finished the builing of the Revell (old Matchbox) Jagdpanther and started painting the road wheels. I put on the tracks only for these pictures, they will be painted this evening. The crew is from Preiser.

Deutsche Infanterie, Caesar, 1:72

The first four are finished...

Die ersten vier sind fertig....
