End of the year rally-The last Post 2010, Pegasus, Mortars

The last Post for 2010. I´ve washed and drybrushed this mortar team. I painted it 2 month ago but never finished it. As on Monday the next Behind-Omaha Game will start it was a good reason to go on. The bases aren`t ready, but it will work for the game.
Happy new year and thank you for reading my Blog. When I started in March I couldn`t imagine that there will be more then 10.000 viewers till the end of the year. Thanks!

"End of the year rally" Part 1, Preiser & Caesar, 1:72

Yesterday night was quite busy. I finished these 5 for my customer. Or I have to say, nearly finished them. On photos you always find something to improve :-(
3 more to come and this project is finished just in Time. I also continued an older projekt. Pictures will follow during the day.

A happy new year to all of you, my friends!

Plane Month, BF 109, Revell. Update

O.k. I surrender...I will nt finish this bird in 2010. To many other projects and a promise to paint 30 Figures until tomorrow. But it is a good feeling to build planes again. This one was a test, the next one will be a Fieseler Storch.
I sprayed the bottom with a light blue and started painting the top with "Vallejo Dark Sand". It was a big mistake that I forgot to give it a prime-colour. But you learn by your mistakes....

Russian Tank Crew, Staff and Drivers, Fantassin, 1:72

Today I want to show you my latest Buy. Russian Tank Crew, Staff and Drivers from the spanish company "Fantassin". The Box contains 20 Figures and one Dog. The first impression is really good. I like especially the sitting figure with the cigarette (the second one sitting on the pencil). I will prime them later on, I think the details can be seen better after that.

Panzergrenadiere, Preiser, 1:72

Here two more figures I paint for a customer. Nearly finished, but I have to remove some flesh on the second figure and paint it again. Three more of these wait for their colours. It is a busy end of the year....

Co-Drivers, Caesar, 1:72

There were two goals for the rest of this year: First to finish this custom-work and second I wanted to post 31 messages in December. I think, I´m on a good way as one mission is accomplished! ;-)

Here you can see three pictures of the co-drivers from the  Sd.Kfz. 10 Demag D 7 Set. The kit is great and the Minis are as good as the kit. It would be nice if Caesar would bring out a figure set just with sitting persons.

For Mojo, Sgts. Mess Storage

Mojo asked about a picture from the storage items. Here it is. It´s not the whole content of the bag but it gives a first impression.

Panzergrenadiere, Revell, 1:72

Today some pictures of the Revell Panzergrenadiere. Nice Poses but poorly detailed. I just try out new colours, thats why I choose them. Not finished yet, but perhabs they find a place in one of my Behind-Omaha-Platoons.

D.A.K., Italeri, 1:72

Because it is f****** coldoutside and more snow than in the last 10 years I dreamed of warm places. Africa, Yeah.....then my D.A.K. Minis spring to my mind. So I started painting one of them. He needs a finishing drybrush and on this picture he is still wet from the "wash".

Secret Weapons of the Wehrmacht, Sd.Kfz.007 "Scorpio"

Yesterday the Christkind brought some presents for my kids. Guess my surprise when I found in one of the sets this little fellow. I think it was dedicated to me but my son insists that it belongs to his "Agents-Set" and I will be allowed to play with it.

Merry Christmas to all of you. I hope you got what you wanted!

Back to buisness, M 24 Chaffee, Revell, 1:76,

Back to buisness, my friends. Here some pictures of another W.I.P. The M 24 Chaffee from Revell. Nice little kit, indeed. This one and one M 36 will be the rest of my U.S. Troops for the next weeks. When finished them I will continue some German Projects first.

Merry Christmas!

Dear readers! I wish you all a merry christmas, a few hours of peace and silence and of course some nice presents ;-)

With this in mind, all the best to you!

Sd.Kfz. 10, Demag D 7, Caesar, 1:72

Here you find the content of the Box of this nice kit. Four sprues with fine detailed parts, two little bags (one with the 3 Crew-Members and one with the Vinyl-wheels) a plan and the decals. As we are in Germany unfortunately some of the decals were paintad black, because some symbols are forbidden here.
On first sight a briilant kit and worth the money (I paid 10 € at Monumental-Modells, my favorite web-shop). Greetings to you, Burns ;-)

Plane Month, Me 109 Bf, Revell, 1:72, W.I.P.,

After looking on the calendar I was alarmed! Two third of December and the Plane Month is gone. So it is time to build my Me 109. I started it yesterday. The kit contains only a few parts but it was a lot of excess plastic to remove. The parts doesn`t fit good togehtehr so a lot of gaps need a fill. And I recognized, that one part is missing. The pilots seat wasn´t in the box. I will do it "scratchbuild".

Stay tuned, this afternoon I will show you the content of the Caesar Box with the Demag Sd.Kfz. 10!
