Plane Month, BF 109, Revell. Update

O.k. I surrender...I will nt finish this bird in 2010. To many other projects and a promise to paint 30 Figures until tomorrow. But it is a good feeling to build planes again. This one was a test, the next one will be a Fieseler Storch.
I sprayed the bottom with a light blue and started painting the top with "Vallejo Dark Sand". It was a big mistake that I forgot to give it a prime-colour. But you learn by your mistakes....

Plane Month, Me 109 Bf, Revell, 1:72, W.I.P.,

After looking on the calendar I was alarmed! Two third of December and the Plane Month is gone. So it is time to build my Me 109. I started it yesterday. The kit contains only a few parts but it was a lot of excess plastic to remove. The parts doesn`t fit good togehtehr so a lot of gaps need a fill. And I recognized, that one part is missing. The pilots seat wasn´t in the box. I will do it "scratchbuild".

Plane Month Part 2, Me 109 BF, Revell, 1:72

Today part 2 of my planes. Here you can see the other old plane I built years ago. I remebmer that I was very proud to paint it that way. At the stern there is still the string where it was fixed under the roof of my room that days. The clou is that I was able to get my hands on this kit again in an online-auction last week (only 1 € and postage). Now I will build this kit and we will see, if there is any progress in my skills ;-) So I can contribute a "new" kit to plane month!

Hier ist mein zweiter Beitrag zum Flugzeugmonat. Die Me 109 ist auch über 25 Jahre alt. Ich weiß aber noch, wie stolz ich damals wegen der Lackierung war. Am Heck ist sogar noch der Faden, mit das Flugzeug unter meiner Kinderzimmerdecke befästigt war.Der Witz an der Sache ist, dass ich den Bausatz letzte Woche nochmal ersteigern konnte (1 € plus Porto). Jetzt werden wir sehen, ob sich meine Fähigkeiten verbessert haben ;-) Also kann ich auch einen "neuen" Bausatz zum Flugzeugmonat beisteuern.

Plane Month, Part 1, Fiat G 55, Revell, 1:72, Flugzeugmonat Teil 1

O.k. a few words to "Plane Month". I haven`t built any planes since 25 or more years. This one is from my youth, built in the 80´s of the last century. I found it together with a Me 109 in my parents cellar a few months ago. I think it is a Fiat, made by Revell. If you`ve got any suggestions concerning the Type of plane I would be grateful if you will tell me. I will follow the suggestion from Paul (Plasticwarrior) to build a wreck as a marker.

Ein paar Sätze zum "Flugzeugmonat". Ich habe seit über 25 Jahren kein Flugzeug mehr gebaut. Dieses hier ist eines aus meiner Jugendzeit, ich glaube eine Fiat von Revell, gebaut in den 80érn des letzten Jahrhunderts. Wenn jemand eine Idee hat, um welchen Typ es sich tatsächlich handelt würde ich mich über eine kurze Nachricht freuen. Wie Paul "Palsticwarrior" vorgeschlagen hat, werde ich ein Wrack als Geländestück bauen.

Here some pictures from the Museum in Sinsheim. The main focus are cars and planes (you will find there one e.g. a Concord)but they`ve got a military exhibition as well.
