Sd. KfZ, 251/9 Ausf. C, Revell, 1:72

Back in town...
Greetings, my friends. After a few days of silence I want to show you a new Project I started this one during my one week holiday at the baltic sea. The Sd.Kfz. 251/9 with the short barrel gun. Still W.I.P. but a great kit from Revell. O.K. the tracks went on my nerves, but only because I hadn`t the patience for these single part track-segmnents. All fits good and I think this one will reinforce my troops soon.
In a small toy shop I surprisingly found some WH 40 K Stuff and bought a Cadian Command Troop. But this will followe tomorrow.

M 3 Halftrack, Italeri, 1:72

EDIT: New Pictures! Yesterday evening I had not much to do, so I built these Halftracks. And the surprising point is, not one drop of glue was needed! They fit perfectly togehther. Nice kits for wargames but also for other puroposes. I like them! O.K. the pictures aren`t the best ones, perhabs I will change them later...

Kettenkrad & Infanteriegeschütz "Püppchen", Roskopf, 1:100 ???

Today a new purchase for my Roskopf-Collection. A "Kettenkrad" with a light infantry gun called "Püppchen". The Roskopf- Range is normally 1:100 but this one seems more like 1:87. You can compare it with the Kettenkrad from Academy in 1:72 in pictures 3+4.

Sd. Kfz. 7, Hasegawa, 1:72, Finished (nearly;-))

Yesterday I finished this Halftrack. After putting on the decals, a wash with Devlon Mud was done followed ba a drybrush with "Geschützgrau" and "Steingrau" from Revell. O.k. the Steering Wheel is missing but this last part will be glued when I found and painted the right driver.

Sd. Kfz 251/9 Ausf. C, Revell, 1:72

I was in Berlin at the beginning of this week. And while sitting in my Hotel Room I wonder what to do in the evening. Fortunately ;-) I found this kit in my suitcase and started building it. O.K. a new project befor finishing an old one, but that`s the way it is. I`m not satisfied with the tracks. I´ve done something wrong, but at the end I hope that the mistakes can be hidden. A very nice kit from Revell!

Sd. Kfz 7, Hasegawa, 1:72 Update

Last night I continued the work on my Halftrack. The Tracks were fixed and painted and the painting of the interior started. I used Vallejo "Kahki" for the Blanket and U.S. Field Drab for the seats. Then I washed them with GW Devlon Mud.The rest will follow soon and the last part will be the fixing of the driving wheel. I need a suitable driver first ;-)

Hasegawa, Sd. Kfz. 7, 1:72

I´m still cleaning uo my storage rooms and reorganize my working place. The good point is that you find some things you missed. For example I found the last sprue of this halftrack. I painted the dashboard and the last parts and then the sprue dissappeared while drying. Yesterday I found it and now I can finish this one as well. Only the steering wheel and the tracks have to be assembled. It seems, that the next day "Track-Work" is necessary, because now I have to paint the tracks for the Panzer IV, a nearly finished StuG III and this one. Figure Painting is not on my schedule. I need a pause after about 50 painted Minis in December.

Please excuse the dark pictures, but one of my lamps is broken and I won´t use flashlights. (O.K. in the last picture, I used it)

Just finished this 251 for my "Behind Omaha" Forces. The MG Shooter is from Esci, the Figures bailing out are from Preiser.

Endlich habe ich das 251´er fertig bekommen. Es ist für meine deutschen "Behind Omaha" Truppen. Der MG-Schütze ist von Esci, die anderen Figuren sind von Preiser.

Again the Halftrack....
Yesterday I started with the Camo-Scheme and finished the MG-Gunner. The figure in the back is one of my new project, Pegasus Waffen-XX Set 2, I started it last week.




Schon wieder Halbketten....
Gestern habe ich mit der Tarnlackierung begonnen und den MG-Schützen bemalt. Die Figur im Heck ist von meinem neuen Projekt, Pegasus Waffen-XX Set 2, das ich letzte Woche begonnen habe.

I sprayed the Halftrack once again and finished the building. Now a two colour camouflage scheme will follow. I think I will follow the suggestion by Paul concerning the gunner from Revell/Italeri for the next Halftrack.





Am Wochenende habe ich die Halbkette noch mal besprüht und zu Ende gebaut. Nun folgt ein 2-Farben Tarnschema. Ich denke, den Vorschlag von Paul bezüglich des MG_Schützen von Revell/Italeri werde ich bei der nächsten Halbkette umsetzen.

I was in Berlin again this week, this time for working. A smooth flight but I will never going to love flying...
Because of this I only managed to continue the work on this halftrack. The building is finished, but the upper hull isn`t glued because I want to paint the room inside and this is easier when the upper hull is removed. I will follow the tip from Laffe with the Esci Figure for the MG. I have to decide if I take the MG on the Figure (like in the pictures) or remove it and take the one from the kit. Next step is painting the halftrack and the shooter.

Ich war in dieser Woche wieder in Berlin, dieses mal um zu arbeiten. Ein ruhiger Flug, aber ich werde mich nie ans Fliegen gewöhnen. Deshalb habe ich nur ein wenig an der Halbkette weitergearbeitet. Ich habe die obere Hälfte noch nicht verklebt, weil ich dann den Innenraum leichter lackieren kann. Dank eines Tips von Laffe hier im Blog werde ich die Esci-Figur als MG-Schützen einsetzen. Ich weiß noch nicht, ob ich das MG der Figur nehme (wie im Bild), oder es entferne und das MG aus dem Bausatz verwende. Jetzt folgt die Lackierung von Fahrzeug und Figur.

I continued painting and building the halftrack. As there are no "facilities", I built two seats and a divider out of plastic sheet and parts of the sprue. Sprayed with Tamiya Dark Yellow and started painting the tracks and road wheels.





Ich habe ein wenig an der Halbkette weiter gearbeitet. Da der Fahrerraum völlig "nackt" ist habe ich aus Plastiksheet und einem Teil des Gussastes Sitze und eine Trennwand eingebaut. Es wurde wieder mit Tamiya "Dark Yellow" grundiert. Dann habe ich begonnen, Ketten und Laufräder zu lackieren.
