D.A.K. Revell/Esci, 1:72

I remeber how lucky Paul (Plasticwarrior) was when he got his hands on an old Matchbox Set. I ´m as lucky as he was because I got my hands on two old hardplastic sets from Revell/Esci. The D.A.K. Figures were top on my "wish list".







And the best... I got two of them :-)

Minidio, Matchbox, Esci, Academy, 1:72

Today I will show you an old Mini-Dio. The figure is from Esci, the Dingo from Matchbox and the "Kettenkrad" from Academy. I made it three years ago. The reason was first: I was to lazy to clean a little rubber bucket with plaster I used befor. Next day I had this round piece of plaster. As a modeller, nothing is wasted and I started to think about a usefull field of application. The second guess was that I didn`t know what use this figure can be because of the odd pose. That´s the result.
The Painting of the figure is not the best one to my standards today. But three years ago I was very satisfied ;-)
The short Story:
A German Soldier on Patrol finds this Dingo in the Desert. The British Crew disappeared and the D.A.K. Man checks out the situation.

Because it is f****** coldoutside and more snow than in the last 10 years I dreamed of warm places. Africa, Yeah.....then my D.A.K. Minis spring to my mind. So I started painting one of them. He needs a finishing drybrush and on this picture he is still wet from the "wash".

Surprisingly an old friend visited me yesterday and it was a beautifulm evening. So I wasn`t able to go on with the Stuart. But it`s an opportunity to show you my D.A.K. collection. Some figures are designated for my little Diorama. E.G. the last figure on the right is marshaling a Halftrack. (Airfix conversion)

Habe gestern überraschen Besuch von einem alten Schulfreund bekommen. War ein toller abend, aber dafür blieb der Stuart liegen. Eine gute Gelegenheit, heute mal meine D.A.K. - Sammlung vorzustellen. Einige sind schon für das Afrika-Dio. Z.B. die Figur hinten rechts weist gerade ein Fahrzeug ein.
