Pegasus, Waffen XX, 1:72

On wednesday I started basing my heavy infantry unit for the behind omaha game. It will consist mostly out of figures from the Pegasus Waffen XX Set 1 an 2. I was not sure if the figures will stand on the coin because they`ve got no base on their own. I used wood filler and stuck them in. It seems to work, the figures were fixed after drying. Meanwhile I finished the whole unit, pictures will follow.

Am Mittwoch habe ich die ertsen Figuren meiner schweren Infantrieeinheit auf die Bases gebracht. Sie besteht hauptsächlich aus Pefsausfiguren (Waffen XX set 1 und 2)Ich war nicht sicher, ob das so hält, da die Pegasusfiguren z.T. keine eigenen Bases haben. Ich habe sie in Holzspachtelmasse gesteckt und es scheint zu funktionieren. Da alles hält habe ich gestern die restlichen Figuren auf die Bases geklebt. Bilder folgen, wenn der Holtspachtel getrocknet ist.

Ich habe angefangen, die Figuren für die Mörserabteilung für "Behind Omaha" auf die Bases zu setzten.

Sd.Kfz 251, Esci, 1:72

The Sd.Kfz. 251 is finished. I was unabele to fix all the damages caused by my accident but I think I made it at last.



Das Sd.Kfz. 251 ist fertig. Zwar konnte ich nicht alle Schäden beseitigen, die der Sturz hervorgerufen hat, aber dafür geht es noch. Leider löst sich schon wieder der vordere Teil. Das ganze Modell ist total verzogen :-(

Italeri, German Motorcycles, 1:72

Yesterday I`ve started the German Motorcycles from Italeri. Nice little modells. The drivers will be in classic german uniforms, not in D.A.K. like the first one I´ve made.



Gestern habe ich den zweiten Anlauf bei den Motorrädern von Italeri gemacht. Die Figuren werden diesesmal nicht D.A.K. sein sondern klassische Uniformen bekommen. Die Motorräder sind für meine deutsche B.O. Truppe gedacht.

B.O. update, Deutsche Infantrie

I was very busy the last weeks. Because of that I haven`t done much in my hobby. But yesterday I´ve nearly finished my first unit for the "Behind Omaha" game. The operator needs a wash and the bases aren`t finished, but that`s all. Figures are from Caesar, Imex, Revell, Italeri and Pegasus. Now I start with the first heavy unit.




Ich war sehr beschäftigt in den letzten Wochen und konnte kaum was fertigstellen. Gestern habe ich dann mit meinem ersten Zug leichter Infantrie für das Tabeltop "Behind Omaha" weitergemacht. Der Funker braucht noch ein "wash" und die Bases etwas Statikgras. Die Figuren sind von Caesar, Revell, Italeri, Imex und Pegasus. Als nächstes kommt der erste schwere Zug.

Afrikadiorama,

Today I will show a long term projekt. I started it 2 years ago and the last time I continued it was October 2009. It is a german fortified place in Africa. There will be a Anti Tank gun and an anti-air-gun and several vehicles. It was made with plaster, sand and wood-filler. The "Tobruk stand" was scratch build with ???? I don`t know the translation. It is somthing like modelling material and in contact with the air it gets hard. The Jeep is from the L.R.D.G. by Revell/Matchbox.
Still much to do....



Heute ein paar Bilder von einem Langzeitprojekt, dass ich vor 2 Jahren begonnen habe und das nun schon wieder seit letztem Oktober auf Eis liegt. Eine Geschützstellung in Afrika. Das ganze besteht aus Gips und Modelliermasse auf Styropor sowie aus Holzspachtel. Den Tobrukstand habe ich auch aus Modelliermasse scratch gebaut. Es sollen eine Pak 40 und eine Flak sowie diverse Fahrzeuge und Figuren drauf. Der Jeep ist von Revell "L.R.D.G." und dient als Größenvergleich. Aber es ist noch viel zu tun....

Italeri, Airfix, Panzer III, Sd.Kfz. 222

Just finished the Panzer III and a Sd.Kfz. 222. Both are for my "Behind Omaha" Forces.

Ich habe soeben den Panzer III und ein Sd.Kfz. 222 fertig gestellt. War ein erster Versuch einer Tarnlackierung. Die Betonung liegt auf "Versuch". Da muss ich noch fleißig üben... Beide Modelle sind für meine deutsche "Behind Omaha" Streitkraft.
