It`s always the same. You think you`re finished, make some pictures and then you find some parts wich could be better. Nevertheless I count this one as "finished".




Immer das Gleiche. Man denkt, man ist fertig, macht ein paar Bilder und dann sieht man, was man alles noch verbessern könnte. Egal, dieser T 34 wird als "Fertig" verbucht.

Am Wochenende habe ich den Stuart, den Bren Gun Carrier und den T 34 fertig bekommen. Bilder folgen.

Stuart, Matchbox, 1:76

The Stuart is almost finished. Last week it got a wash with diluted oil colours, the decals and a drybrush. Now some last corrections and a layer of matt varnish will follow. The tank is for my B.O. Forces.




Der Stuart ist fast fertig. Letzte Woche hat er ein "wash" mit verdünnter Ölfarbe erhalten, die Decals (ja, ich weiß, die Einheitsabzeichen passen nicht zum Panzer, ich hatte aber keine anderen mehr) sind drauf und gestern habe ich die Kanten trocken gemalt. Nun fehlen ein paar Korrekturen und der Mattlack.

Wohnhaus, 1:72

Today I will show you a new project. This very nice house kit is made from resin. I bought it from Marc Zimmermann, someone I get to know in the “Behind Omaha”-Forum. He has a lot of beautiful buildings to offer. If you are interested, please contact me, I will give you further information. The house is dedicated to stay on my "Behind Omaha" "playground". Here you see the parts, only the chimney and the windows for the roof are missing here. First step was to cut the roof elements to the correct shape.

Hier sind die Teile des Hauses, es fehlen der Kamin und die Fenstererker fürs Dach. Die Dachteile sind schon von mir auf Maß gesägt.

The second step is to cut off the thin resin layer out of the windows. Patience is needed at this time. I use a sharp and pointed cutter.

Als zweiten Schritt empfiehlt es sich, die Fenster von Resin zu befreien, um ein realistische Bild zu bekommen. Ich habe ein scharfes und sehr spitzes Bastelmesser genutzt.

After grinding the edges, the first parts were ready to glue. I used superglue.

Nachdem ich die Hauswände geschliffen hatte konnte ich sie mit Sekundenkleber befestigen.

Heute möchte ich ein neues Projekt vorstellen. Diesen wirklich gelungene Resinbausatz habe ich von Marc Zimmermann erstanden. Ich habe Ihn im "Behind Omaha" Forum kennen gelernt und er hat einige sehr schöne Häuser im Angebot. Sollte jemand Intersse haben stelle ich gerne den Kontakt her.

Deutsche Infantrie, Caesar, 1:72

Here is a group of figures I made last weekend. They are from the Caesar Set H002 "German Infantry" except the one behind the officer. This one is from the Set H 053 "German Panzergrenadiers Set 2". This Set is extremly nice. The figures I will paint in the near future will get a camouflage scheme.




Hier ist eine Gruppe von Figuren, die ich letztes Wochenende fertig bekommen habe. Die Figuren stammen aus dem Set H002 "German Infantry" von Caesar, bis auf die Figur hinter dem Offizier, die aus dem Set H053 "German Panzergrenadiers Set 2" stammt. Das Panzergrenadier Set 2 ist wirklich klasse. Die nächsten Figuren bekommen wieder eine Tarnuniform.

"Panzerknacker", Caesar, 1:72

Here you can see two Figures from Caesar. The left one with the "Panzerfaust" is from Set H002 German Infantry and the one with the "Haftladung" from Panzergrenadiers - Set 2. I like the Caesar Figures and the one with the Haftladung opens new opportunities for little Dioramas.



Heute zwei Figuren von Caesar. Die linke stammt aus dem Set "Deutsche Infantrie" und die rechte aus dem Set "Panzergrenadiere Set2". Vor allem die Figur mit der Haftladung eröffnet nette Möglichkeiten für ein kleines Diorama. Wie alles von Caesar sind diese Figuren spitze.

British Machine Guns, HÄT, 1:72

For my british Behind Omaha-Forces I started painting this set by HÄT. I like the figures but the plastic is too soft to cut off the flesh. I used a hot needle but there is still some flesh left.



Für meine Behind Omaha Streitmacht fehlt noch eine schweres Waffenteam. Deshalb habe ich mit diesem HÄT Set begonnen. Leider ist das Plastik so weich, dass man mit einem Messer die Formtrennähte nicht weg bekommt. Ich habe eine heiße Nadel benutzt, aber auch nicht alles entfernen können. Aber davon abgesehen ein hervorragendes Set.
