U.S. Infantry, Caesar, 1:72 and a tree....

On weekend I finished my first tree. It was a first try and I think I know what went wrong. I will try again and I hope the result will be better. And I started the U.S. Rangers from Pegasus (Pictures will follow). To get the feeling for the U.S. Boys I also painted these Ceaser Minis. Still W.i.p. but this week will be U.S. week.

German Infantry....A last Group Shot!

I promised a group shot of my last painted germans. Here they are. Unfortunately the light was not the best for taking pictures. Yesterday evening I repainted the bases and today they will go on their journey, together with the Caesar British Infantry.

D.A.K. Revell/Esci, 1:72

I remeber how lucky Paul (Plasticwarrior) was when he got his hands on an old Matchbox Set. I ´m as lucky as he was because I got my hands on two old hardplastic sets from Revell/Esci. The D.A.K. Figures were top on my "wish list".







And the best... I got two of them :-)

Terrain & Tree, attempts...

You know how it is, you went to the cellar, searching something and than you found a box with forgotten items. Yesterday I found this little landscape and a tree I started one or two years ago? I don`t know. But I think they are worth to go on.








The terrain was made of Styropor, covered with woodfiller. I tried to make a corn field just befor harvesting by using the bristles of a brush. I think because this was a lot of stupid work I stopped and forgot it ;-)



The "Tree" was made of a small branch. Then I covered it with cotton wool (?) I don´t know the right translation but it was no cotton wool but something I normally use in my aquarium filter. It is a kind of synthetical wool. After spraying it green I covered it with diluted woodglue and scattered some flocks on it. Because the base was so ugly I stopped it that time.

I think I give them a second try....

German Infantry, Seated, Preiser, 1:72

O.k. nothing spectacular today. Just the seated Germans I also finished last weekend.

British Infantry, Caesar, 1:72

Finally I finished this lot of British Infantry by Caesar. My favorite british Figures. Panited as usual by using Vallejo and Revell Colours. Next Project: U.S. Rangers from Pegasus.

To be or not to be...., Reworked Germans, Preiser, 1:72

I just reworked these two Minis I painted 3 years befor. After making the pictures "Hamlet" springs in my mind...







The last two picture show the figur befor inking it. Unfortunately I have no picture of the second one for a "before and after" comparison.

Both figures are from Preiser.
