Caesar, U.S. Army - Set 1, 1:72

In the last days I started painting these figures made by Caesar. Caesar develops to my favorite company. The figures are well sculpted and the poses always useable. After priming with army painter "flesh" I painted them with vallejo colors. I tried different colours for the webbing and the equipment and decided to paint them with:
German Camo Beige (Jackets)
US Field Drab (Trousers)
US Dark Green (Helmets)
For the equipment I used "Hell Oliv" from Revell, I don`t know the transaltion.
After washing with "Devlon Mud" and "Ogryn Flesh" by GW I drybrushed with the original colours mentioned. The weapons, helmets and boots need some work, but I´m satisfied so far.


In den letzten Tagen habe ich diese Figuren lackiert. Caesar wird immer mehr zu meinem Lieblingshersteller. Gute Posen und vernünftige Ausführung ohne viel Grat. Ich habe ein bischen rumprobiert und habe folgende Farben genutz:

Für die Ausrüstung habe ich mich nach einigen Versuchen für "Hell Oliv" von Revell entschieden. Nach dem Tuschen mit "Devlon Mud" und "Ogryn Flesh" von GW habe ich mit den oben genannten Farben noch mal leicht drüber gebürstet. Helme, Stiefel und Waffen brauchen noch ein bischen Arbeit, aber ich bin ganz zufrieden soweit.

Jagdpanther, Armourfast, 1:72

Yesterday I finished the Jagdpanther. A light drybrush followed by a layer of matt varnish. The tracks will need some dirt, I think.

Gestern bekam der Jagdpanther ein leichtes "Trockenmalen" und eine Schicht Mattlack. Fertig! Na ja, fast, die Ketten müssen noch mal überarbeitet werden.

Yesterday I managed to wash this battlecat. Today I hope to achieve the drybrush.

Gestern habe ich es geschafft, diese Raubkatze zu waschen. Ich hoffe, heute schaffe ich das Trockenmalen.

What a beautiful day.... I flight to Berlin on Wednesday for a short day-off with my collegues. I visited the "Reichstag" and saw "Nofretete" (my dictionary says, the lady is called Nefertiti in english) and the weather was beautiful. After my return yestaerday evening I found the Armourfast Kit, wich I bought online. Yeah, so I started building it. Not finished but I was to tired at the end.

Was für ein schöner Tag.... Bin mit Kollegen zum Betriebsausflug nach Berlin geflogen. Ich habe den Reichstag besucht und Nofretete besichtigt. Das Wetter war auch klasse. Als ich nach Hause kam hatte der Briefträger den Armourfast-Bausatz gebracht. Ich habe sofort angefangen zu bauen, war aber dann doch zu müde zum Fertigstellen.

The figures are nearly finished now. Here you see the rest of the Valiants as well as the figures from Caesar. In the second row the figure on the right is an old one made by Esci.

Die Figuren sind fast fertig. Hier ist auch der Rest der Valiants. In der zweiten Reihe ganz rechts ist auch eine alte Esci-Figur.

After the "hard" work on my playground and the vehicles for the game I`ve started to relax by painting these figures. Not finished yet but really unbending.
There are a few more from Valiant, but they were still wet yesterday evening, so the pictures will follow later on.

Nach der vielen Arbeit mit der Spielplatte und den Farhrzeugen brauchte ich etwas zum entspannen. Deshalb habe ich mit diesen Figuren begonnen. Da sind noch einige Valiants, aber die waren gestern abend noch feucht. Bilder folgen daher erst später.

von Auerbergh vs. Mork, 500 Punkte

Here you find some pictures of my first game "Behind Omaha". I played the german side. To make it short: First game, first defeat. It was a great victory for the brits played by von Auerbergh. I will add some details to this post during the next hours/days but I`m short at time in the moment. Sorry for that!

We played 500 points each side on a 120 * 120 table. First picture shows my forces.

The british forces by von Auerbergh. One Staghound was played as a sherman.

The panther knocks out a halftrack. My first hit (and the only one)

The panther is knocked out by the Firefly.

My Pak 40 hits the Firefly, but only one damage point.
That was it, all Landmarks were conquered by von Auerbergh. My forces left couldn`t do much, so I surrendered.
